Meet Dr. James Gallant
While growing up in Windsor Ontario, Dr. Gallant spent his summer vacations in the valley. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario in London with a major in physiology. Dr. Gallant then went on to continue his education in dentistry at the University of Toronto. In 1987, upon graduation, he re-located his family to Pembroke and set up practice. He and his wife Cheryl raised their four daughters to be proud “Valley Girls”.
Dr. Gallant continues to upgrade his education and is dedicated to lifelong learning to provide the best possible care to his patients. He is a member of numerous professional organizations and study clubs.
Outside of the office Dr. Gallant enjoys sports, woodworking, boating and restoring his Classic Mustangs. Below Dr. Gallant and his best friend Vesper are pictured with their completed 1966 Mustang Coupe. The second picture is the current project car, a 1966 Mustang Convertible. They hope to have it on the road in 2021.
Our Office Manager Jessica
HI, my name is Jessica Throop. I am a mother of two soon to be teenage boys! We added to our family a very energetic, goofy and loving Bernedoodle we named Vader. He has made a wonderful addition to our home. Between my children and my dog, they keep my life very busy. I was born and raised in the Ottawa Valley and completed post secondary education in 2002 from the Dental Assisting Program. I like to think dental chose me as it was not my primary interest growing up. Previous to Dental Assisting my love for young children led me to complete my Early Childhood Education program. This fondness still remains true to me in our dental office. Seeing our adolescent patients grow up to become adult patients is awesome! Being part of this truly amazing dental team makes every day engaging. Change and evolution is a challenge I embrace.
